Sir,
I have filed a petition for getting maintenance for me and my 2.4 yr old daughter in my hometown. mediation section is going on. meanwhile husband filed a child custody petition at his work place which is 342 kms away from my place. Is it possible to transfer that case to my hometown..? coz travelling to such a long distance with baby is difficult and lso financial problem is there.

Mam,
Please mention the place where the husband has filed the case where u want it to be transferred. Depending upon the places the jurisdiction of the High Court or Supreme Court will be decided. If the jurisdiction lies with the Supreme Court, I can get it done from here ..

Husband has filed case in Family court kasargod.
And i want it to get transferred to family court ernakulam.

Such case is filed at a place, where the child is living.
You can represent the court at that place that the child is not living at this place and case should not be entertained at that place.

If he filed at his place u need to give request for transfer of case at your residence place.
