Theft and burglary

Plz tell me what is difference between Theft and Burglary? What are essential ingredients of both?

Burglary is punishable under which section of IPC ?

In my view theft means act of thieving whereas burglary means breaking into house by night to commit theft.
In IPC there are two sections 379 & 380 please go through ,I hope you will get your reply.
