Surety to bail

wanted to know is ration card mandatory for surety for an accused, surety has docs like passport,property tax recpt, 5 Years Income tax recpts, electricity bill, flat in his/her name. hope it can be done without the ration card. please advice

Ration card decide surety's local residence.
All otrher document does not prove permanent residence. So Ration card is a must.
JMFC has sufficient power to d away with it, in presence of above mentioned Proof, provided Passport shows the address of his Flat in his Jurisdiction.

in some courts judges ask for residential proof. Voter ID also some times instead of ration card

Voter ID/ Ration Card/ Govt Identity Card/ Driving License/ Passport etc are taken as Identity and Residence Proof of the surety in Delhi Courts.

The practise might be little different in other courts.
