Suit for declaration

Can we file a suit for declaration declaring a major hindu be the adopted son of female widow having age difference more than 25 years? any legal impediments please?

No impediments, provided there has been a valid adoption as per the Hindu Adoption and Maintenance Act .

There is a set procedure of adoption under Hindu Adoption and Maintenance Act and that procedure has been followed in your case then such suit for declaration can be filed and in the given circumstances there is no legal hurdle for doing so.

The adoption deed is valid and legal as per hindu adpotion and maintenance act.

I understand from your querry that you do not have valid adoption deed.If you have adoption deed, there is no need for declaratory suit of status.Otherwise you may file declaratory suit of your status as adopted son.
