Second career as an advocate

I have worked in an Institution on Registrar's Post for 35 years and during the course of my service I had to also assisted in handling legal matters pertainign to the said Institutiona,visiting various courts with lawyers and briefing them etc, which gave me a good exposer to the legal field. Being a law graduate, immediatel after retirement I enrolled myself in Bar Council. Though I am 60+, I am physically and metally fit for my second carreer. I would like to know as to from where do I start now?

You need to register yourself with the Bar Council of your state first.
Once you get the certificate of advocate , you are free to act as an advocate.

Dear Mr.Barman, he has already enrolled in the Bar Council and is asking for gauidance reagrding where to begin with.

Dear querist,
You can start by assisting a seniour lawyer for some time. Any way, you can put a name board outside your house so that people can know you are an advocate.
Once you start visiting different courts, you will get an idea regarding what kind of matters will be better for you to handle and what kind of matters will give you more interest.

DO NOT BREAK HOUSES FOR MONEY,
TRY PATCH -UP BRAKING HOUSES, THAT YOU CAN DO WELL AT THIS MATURED AGE AND EXPERIENCE.

Rx, Join a Senior Advocate for at least Six months to understand Leg Work, Court Proceedings and choose only 3 or 4 Field, Say Family Laws of Matrimonial dispute, Agreements & Doc Registrations, Bails , etc.
You have Less time to master many fields. so limit yourself for 2 years.

Shroff Sir,
I am enlightened. You have almost read my mind. Thank you very much. I will for sure follow the path selflessly as money is no problem at this stage of life and I am quite comfortable having fulfilled all my social responsibilities.
This is the time I would like to return something to the Society which I owe to it, through this field.
I have already joined an NGO offering free legal assistance to needy and helpless.
