HI,

I am Nayudu entered into sale agreement in 2009. But the agreement is not registered... wht is the legal procedure... to get registered....

There is no requirement of the registration of the agreement but go to the contents of the agreement whether the date of registered sale-deed has expired or still it is to come or whether the full payment has been made and no time limit for sale-deed has been fixed and it is on the mercy of the buyer.

There is no requirement under the Indian Registration Act to register the agreement of sale document but care should be taken that the document is properly stamped.

Go for Registered sale deed at the earliest.Agreement of sale if drawn on properly stamped paper it is sufficient and will have legal sanctity though it is not registered.
