Salary issues in job

(Querist) 04 June 2013 This query is : Resolved
Hi,
please help me out with the following scenario.
1) i left my job a month back due to some reason, and the company is not ready to pay my left over due, they say either i can take dues or reliving letter,
2) the ground on which they are saying that they wont pay is that they claim that i came late to office and came late without any reasons, but the truth is that they themselves have given me permission to come late, because they used to do a sales call in morning, which left us with no option but me coming an hour late.
3) now they are saying they didnt give permission and they are calculating the loss of pay for each day as half day(for 1 hour late coming), but actual practice is of 4 late commings of an hour will be considered as 1 half day,
4) what can i do to get my salary from these people

Issue a legal notice in this regard.
Raj Kumar Makkad (Expert) 05 June 2013
As no notice was issued during your service on the ground of late coming, so company can do nothing at this stage and the ground of deduction of salary as told, is totally illegal and not tenable before law. Take the services of a local lawyer and do according to his guidelines.
