RTI

(Querist) 03 March 2016 This query is : Resolved
My grandfather died in 2013. We want to know the banking transaction and PPO details of my grandfather for the past one year (i.e. 2012-2013). Shall i ask the such details through RTI? Any proof is needed to show that i'm the grandson of my grandfather? Or else my father can request the same? Who are the eligible persons to ask the above mentioned details?

Your father can get the information, being the legal heir of the deceased.

If your reason in obtaining those information is legally valid, your father is entitled to get the same from Bank and PPO also. Otherwise, you would not get.

My grandfather has 4 sons. My grandfather was sick due to paralysis attack in 2012. Also in 2012, my grandfather got 2 lakhs from ppo. So he spend that money to his health. No one of his sons did't gave money. After his death, my uncles told that they spend 6 lakhs for my grandfather hospital bills. So now my uncles demanding my father to give 2 lakhs. Then only the property share will be given to my father. We clearly know that they telling lie. So only i decided to get information through RTI.
