Resiganisation

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 04 May 2010 This query is : Resolved
Respected Sir,
On 30.04.2010 I had submitted my resiganisation from the Post of Sr.Accountant, but after that I yet not received any response from my office, I send it through my mail to Gm Accounts, Gm H.R. & director of my company
Pls advice me that should I do in this situation

Please wait for some time as you had just intimated your willingness to resign from your organisation. If any notice period has been prescribed under the terms of employment, it would construe that you will be intimated of your relief accordingly.

2.YOU MAY CHECK THE CONDITIONS OF SERVICE IN YOUR OFFER AND APPOINTMENT LETTER FOR THE SAID POST AND ALSO REFER SERVICE REGULATIONS IF ANY.CHECK ANY NOTICE PERIOD/SALARY IN LIEW OF NOTICE IS SPECIFIED WHILE RESIGNING FROM THE CO.
3.YOU WILL HAVE TO FILE A CIVIL SUIT IN THE CIVIL COURT FOR CLAIMING YOUR ALL DUES/OR FILE A WRIT PETITION TO THE HIGH COURT FROM GETING THE DUES.AS PER YOUR DESIGNATION YOU ARE IN MANAGEMENT CATEGORY AND HENCE YOU CAN NOT FILE APPLICATION TO THE LABOUR COURT.PLEASE NOTE.
AS YOU ARE A SR.ACCOUNTANT ,BE PRACTICAL AND JOIN SOME OTHER GOOD COMPANY URGENTLY AS YOUR FAMILY AND CHILDREN SHOULD NOT SUFFER FOR FINANCES.KINDLY NOTE THAT CHANGE IS A PART OF LIFE AND WHATEVER HAPPENS IS THE DESTINY AND SOMETHING GOOD WILL COME OUT FOR YOU IN FUTURE .GOD IS GREAT AND WILL HELP YOU. As a senior Acct you cannot all of a sudden submit your resignation and quit from office. You have expressed your willingness to resign from office to GM. Now go to office and continue your work and speak to them when they can relieve you. Till you hand over the charges to another person, continue there speak everything and put them in writing and continue and at the same time apply for jobs in another company and inform the another company that i can join on this day as i have put notice to tat previous company and i am relieving on such date and i can join on specified date. I suggest this is the smooth procedure need to be followed in case of resignation

Author does not need to get panic and resort to legal course of action without adhering to his terms and conditions of employment. The employer must be given the stipulated time as notice period before the employee gets relieved from the organization claiming all his terminal benefits. I concur with Padma's opinion advising to undertake a smooth procedure
