A person has been sentenced to seven years imprisonment U/s376 IPC. He is currently on parole. For getting regular bail, is there a requirement of attestation of thumb impression from jail superintendent? Or only simple thumb impression of person would suffice? appeal is admitted by high court.

No, authentication for Jail superintendent is necessary as long as he remains in jail.

Since the convict is out of jail, his thumb impression/signature can be attested by the Judge considering his appeal/bail application.
