(Querist) 15 August 2020 This query is : Resolved
Dear Learned Experts,

Is email/WhatsApp enough service of notice or do we also have to engage the process server of the court to physically or electronically serve summons to the respondent?

Thank you.

If the notice was sent by Registered post duly delivered at the address, service may be treated as complete.
Advocate Bhartesh goyal (Expert) 15 August 2020
Recently S.C has rulled that notice/summons in legal proceedings can be served by whatsapp/E-mail.so notice sent by you to respondent through E-mail would be treated as valid service.
