चोरी की शिकायत देना सरकारी नौकरी में बाधा नहीं है.
शिकायतकर्ता के रूप में समन पर साक्ष्य प्रस्तुत करना सरकारी नौकरी में कोई बाधा नहीं है।
अगर आप पर चोरी का आरोप है तो कहानी अलग है

Have you ever been kept under detention, arrested, bound down, fined by court of law , fir has been registered against you, prosecuted , case pending against you, convicted by a court of law for any offence

Some persons do not have problem.
but
Some persons neither have a problem nor can they create so they have to imagine a non-existing problem
As appearing from the information provided:-
You gave being a victim sought help of complaint of theft and you are called as a witness (unless you have hidden material facts)
You have to use logic (2=2+4) that simply by being called as a witness in court:-
Does it mean that you have been PLACED UNDER DETENTION?
Does it mean that you have been ARRESTED?
Does it mean that you have been BOUND DOWN?
Does it mean that you have been FINED BY COURT OF LAW?
Does it mean that FIR HAS BEEN REGISTERED AGAINST YOU?
Does it mean that you have been PROSECUTED?
Does it mean that CASE PENDING AGAINST YOU?
Does it mean that you have been CONVICTED BY A COURT?
IF YOU HAVE REALLY STOLEN THE BIKE THEN YOU NEED TO WORRY.

You have been advised that since you are a witness hence the court has summoned you to depose evidence before court in the case lodged by you, therefore you don't worry about this and this will not at all hamper your employment prospects or career.
