1) Any criminal proceedings pending against applicant in any court in India.
What is the exact legal definition for criminal proceedings in the above sentence - is it strat from the FIR or after the charge sheet or after the trial start?

1. As and when any matter along-with accused.

2. Legally Protest Petition is not defined in India Law, however, it is a petition which can be filed protesting any matter generally not subjudice.

Ans :1) It shall cover FIR to Charge sheet.
2] Protest petition means a petition which is filed by the complainant in the court when an accused is prayed for discharge by the Police.
