Quick Summary
This discussion addresses whether you can build on ancestral property where the deeds are in one name but the revenue records show your grandfather's name. While having a grandfather's name in revenue records doesn't automatically grant you title, you may be able to claim rights if you have a legal interest in the property. More details are needed to provide a definitive answer.

If you have any rights in the property you can claim title but just because it was your grandfather's property, you cannot claim any title or interest in it, besides merely there is your grandfather's name in the revenue records, will not entitle you to claim title to the property.
