Property after father's death

Am from muslim sunni family, My father passed away this month, we 2 brothers, 1 sister and a mother in our family. The self earned property of my father has no will or nominees after him. so what is the next step in transferring to our names, your advise will be highly appreciated

In the facts and circumstances stated by you, the property will be divided in the following manner:

Mother 1/8th
Each of the sons (you and brother) 7/20,
Your sister 7/40.

You have to first approach the tehasildar of your area and get legal heir certificate.

On the basis of the legal heir certificate, you have to get the property mutated in your respective names indicating the share of each.
