Procedure to change the initial

Learned Advocates i have a Query

My client have purchased some agricultural property by using his initial before his name as `A` but in reality his initial is `B` and document registered in the initial `A` and even the revenue documents also reflect the same and now he want change the his initial from A to B what is the procedure please guide me… From Karnataka state

when did you purchase property? request seller to execute deed of rectification

Actually the same was my reply to my client but he purchase the property on 1985-86 the seller died and don`t know where is his LR`s,,,

Is it possible to gave an Affidavit to the Revenue department stating the facts

you can apply for rectification before the regitrar., if its rectified mean immediately apply to change of name in the revenue records also.,

if they denied mean you can move a writ petition under 226 of constitution of india before your high court.. [for direction]
