Pregnancy period

The female employee during the declaration of promotion results from Clerical Cadre to Officer Cadre, is pregnant. The Management has not called her for training programme. The date of joining the training programme has been considered as Promotion Date for all the promotees. What is the position of her seniority among her batch of promotees?

She should request the top Management to postpone her promotion till maternity leave expires. Or she should sacrifice and get the child aborted AND GO FOR PROMOTION
iF CAREER IS IMPORTANT FOR HER.ONCE A WOMAN TAKES UP A CAREER SHE SHOULD SET HER PRIORITIES. ordinary FAMILY LIFE AND CAREER. WHICHEVER CAREER SHE HAS PRIORITY SHE SHOULD OPT FOR IT AND SACRIFICE E THE OTHER ONE.

Thus avoid mention of deemed unwillingness to attend promotional course............... In service/office record.

Her seasoned Employee's union leaders can hep her on Bank Policies and provide copies and her own counsel specializing in service matters can guide her further.

You have informed the organisation is State bank of India.

Sometime after training posting orders are given on completion of the training and person has to join next station. In SBI promotes generally manage relieving and continue staying in same Branch after promotion.

This is normal practice.

There is no reason why the Bank would postpone / refuse your promotion on account of your pregnancy. It may call you on training after some time or postpone your training.

You can write to GM through proper channel, who is promoting authority in case of supervising staff if your promotion letter is not received along with other promotes of your batch. Please have patience before any such step as haste may result in waste.

Your Branch Manager can call staff cell in-charge for clarification.
