Petition in High Court or Co Op Court for damages?

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 21 June 2011 This query is : Resolved
I am senior citizen pited against committee members of a co. op society against whom a criminal case pending on my complaint in MM's court at Ballard Pier for breaking in to my office room and stealing my goods therein. Society has since registration of FIR and the case has harrassed me by involving me in false cases which are dismissed and have even cut off power to my office so that neither I can use nor rent out my office room. I now want to file a suit for damages of Rs. 10 lacs and have all the documents to prove the ulterior motives of the commiyyee members. Pl. advice if it can be done in the co op. court and if so what will be court fee. I will be highly obliged if a Mumbai based lawyer can help me out in the matter by charging reasonable fee or share in the amount ordered by the court.

The ARCS has no power to adjudicate on the point of claiming damages.
It deals with the disputes among the Society members in proper management of the society.
For suit for damages you have to check the relevant court fees act of your state as the same differs from one state to another.
