Opponents saying 'not ready'

Hi Sir,

I filed a suit regarding a land dispute ( some one occupied my land). Now trials started .

From last 2 times, judge is giving another date as other opponent lawyer is saying that 'they are not yet ready'.

Can some one explain me what does this mean ? is it beneficial to me in any way ?

Not benificial for you,it is mandatoty provision as per CPC the Written Statement should be filed by the Defendant within 90 days from the date of appearance,move to the Court after that period for fixing up a date of a Ex-parte hearing.Otherwise defendant may drag the proceeding.
