Obtaining 7/12 extract

Hi,
I have a plot of land located in maharashtra brought several years ago which is in my mothers name. I have the plot details like the index , sale deed etc, but the 7/12 extract is still in the sellers name.Recently my mother expired, i want to know the exact legal procedure to obtain the 7/12 extract and transfer the plot in my name.
Kindly let me know what all documents need to be furnished for the same and the legalities involved in the procedure.

It will be better for you to take the guidance of a local lawyer who is conversant withe procedures followed in the Revenue department.

First of all you have to produce your registerd Sale deed copy,Index copy and old 7/12 extant with the application for change in the record of rights to the Mamlatdar Shree/Talati cum muntri Shree of your area.They will issue a notice under sec 135(d) of Bombay Land Revenue code to both the parties and after complitation of one month he will made changes accordingly in to the record of rights register.Then after you can enter your name on a base of succesation certificate.

Apply talathi with original copy of index2 with application form with WARDI NOTICE you will 7/12 extract by pencil, after cerfication of entry in mutaton register u will get by pen.then by death certificate and sucession certificate enter ur name in 7/12 extract. for deails call 09422773303
