Notice period

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 11 October 2022 This query is : Resolved
Hello everyone,
I'm working in hotel industry, But now I'm not able to go to the office work because of medical issues like knee injury in accident.
I resigned from my position in last week, according to my joining letter i need to serve 7 days notice period.
Tomorrow is my last official day, but i received email from them that some tasks are pending , so complete that tasks then we decide which is your last day of your office.
I'm very confused about this thing, please suggest me on this condition.
Thank you🙏
Quick Summary
An employee in the hotel industry resigned due to a knee injury but is facing issues with their notice period. Despite having only 7 days remaining as per their contract, their employer has stated their last day depends on completing pending tasks. The advice given is to complete the outstanding work if medically able, as the employer's request seems reasonable and completing tasks is in the employee's best interest.

The notice period is ok but before your leave, some work might have been pending with you, otherwise, they will not give you such mail. If you are ok now, you complete the work/task and get relieved.

Facts posted suggest no unreasonable demand from the employer. It is in our own interest to be accommodative.
