(Querist) 13 September 2010 This query is : Resolved
Anybody having the under guideline of uses of non-judicial stamp paper in india. Can we purchase stamp paper in one state and will execute the document in another state with time validity.
Raj Kumar Makkad (Expert) 13 September 2010
No. It is not possible to purchase stamp paper in one state and use it in another state in India as the revenue on the stamp papers goes to particular state so it can be used within its territory.

Is mr.rajkumar is correct? Because non judicial papers are indian non judicial purpose only.. We can use it anywhere in india..
Rajeev kulshreshtha (Expert) 13 September 2010
Yes I am also of view that it can be used anywhere in India.
R.Ramachandran (Expert) 14 September 2010
As rightly pointed out by Mr. Raj Kumar, the sale proceeds of non-judicial stamp paper is the revenue of the respective State Governments. As such, a stamp paper of Delhi cannot be used in Haryana or Punjab etc. Though the non-judicial stamp paper or for that matter any other security instrument are printed by the Security Press of the Government of India, the same are supplied to the State Governments as per their requirement. More over, each of the non-judicial stamp paper also bears the name of the States viz., Delhi, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu etc., on the left hand side immediately after the stamp. This is to enable the Registering Officers to identify whether the stamp paper purchased within the State is being used for registration or not.
