This is a criminal offence hence you better make compromise with the defacto complainant and get acquitted so that it will not affect your prospects for government employment.
If not and if you feel that this is a false case then yo can challenge the same properly and get the case dismissed or approach high court with a quash petition to quash the case.

The offences, being devoid of moral turpitude, is of no impact as to employment in public service. To my knowledge, you have the option to settle the issue on payment of fine.
