A UK resident working in Saudi Arabia since 2007 lent his father-in-law over 1 crore rupees between 2008 and 2013 for his real estate business. The father-in-law promised properties in return but instead transferred assets to his son and has only provided minimal property value. The lender is now seeking to recover the outstanding amount, plus interest, and is concerned about the limitation period for legal action, believing it may have started in April 2018 when he left Saudi Arabia. He is also facing issues with one of the few properties received, which is partially encroached upon.
