Mental harrasment

(Querist) 11 December 2013 This query is : Resolved
Hi,

I had joined a company as Training Manager which runs managed hotels in May 2013 at Trivandrum, after relocating from Pune. After about 4 months, when I had just taken up a house on rent in the city, I was given two options - either to resign or transfer to another property at a remote location, Kodaikanal.
I did not have any previous written or verbal complaints, and I was doing a good job as per my Managers.
All of a sudden, was transferred to Kodaikanal.
After moving to Kodaikanal, 15 days later was asked to resign on the pretext that I was not doing a good job.
This was in total contradiction to the earlier four months spent at the same organisation.
Also, did not receive any transfer benefits nor was reimbursed the complete money that I spent on relocating.

Eventually I came to know that I was victim of a political game of the Corporate General Manager, both at Trivandrum & Kodaikanal.

He even went up to the extent of threatening me by mentioning "I gave you a chance at Kodaikanal, after you messed up at Trivandrum". I have proof by the General Manager of the Unit that there was no mess, and it was just words by the said Corporate General Manager

Must add, that the Corporate General Manager is now terminated from the company.

However, is it possible to file a case against him, possibly mental harrassment?

Please advise

Best Regards,
RH

Submit the relocation expenses from Pune to Trivendrum, Trivendrum to Kodaikanal as ap under proper acknowledgment. Demand payments. Attempt and get all your hard earned monies that you have spent on relocation's. In future submit quotations from ‘Packers and Movers’ and obtain advance.

Narrate the sequence of events to the good offices of appointing authority, MD, CEO, Chairman and highlight the great job done as noted by your managers.

Keep the evidences, proof, appreciations secured in a file.

Keep your managers and HR on your side.
Try to get appraisal by which you were transferred and prove it wrong and malicious. The HR and company is custodian of record and it may not share it easily.

Conclude that you obeyed the orders of the superiors and moved to a new location after just 4 months.

The Corporate General Manager is not terminated without any reason.

Training is so sensitive of a position and in case of any crunch and slide down these positions are on top of hit list.

Present your case well and get all adverse notings made by zealous and vindictive Corporate GM from your personnel file if any removed and on the strength of positive notes from your managers try to move back to location of your choice.

You had accepted transfer and relocated now how would you establish victimization without any evidence on your side.

However if an inquiry post removal of this Corporate GM reveals high handedness, victimization, unfair treatment, malice it shall be in your favor.

At the same time attempt to firm up another good opportunity and venture.

Corporate wars are best fought in market place.

Keep a tab on next job of this Corporate GM and hit where it hurts.

Your lawyer may opine that it is possible to file a case if you have solid evidence that this Corporate GM has been speaking and writing untruthful statements about you, caused Discriminatory Retaliation, had malicious Intent you may stand a chance to perturb and disturb this Corporate GM.

World is small and you shall continue to come across such individuals and also extremely capable and good human being too.

It is sensible to shrug off the negative episodes and move on and look positive vibes.

It would be better to search another suitable job as early as possible.

Till that time act upon the advise of expert Kumar Doab which is suitable.
