Meaning of status

(Querist) 07 May 2012 This query is : Resolved
Hi,

Please suggest me what is the meaning of status "FOR ORDERS" in causelist of High Court
V R SHROFF (Expert) 07 May 2012
Stage of Legal Proceeding.

[Steps, Ws, Evidence , Part Heard, Arguments, etc]

Status "ORDER" means the case is kept for Order, after hearing both parties, or otherwise it may be for interim Application, or interim Orders or Final Order.
R.K Nanda (Expert) 07 May 2012
It means for the passing of orders by High Court.

Hello Sir,

Mine is a 498A case.I have applied for jurisdiction quash in high court against lower court case of taking cognizance.

Lower court has issued NBW and given date of 21st June.We did not appear in lower court as we did not receive summon and also we were waiting for our date at High Court.

Kindly suggest if NBW can immediately be used by them to arrest us even though the date judge has given is 21st June.

Also please tell if there is any procedure we can get NBW cancelled in Lower Court.

Please suggest what does it mean by NBW issued with a future date, can they harm us before that date appears?

Pls suggest its urgent.

21st june is returnable date . you can apply to lower court for stay/cancellation of NBw .

Sir pls clarify a bit what does it mean by returnable date.Does that mean that we should appear till 21st June.

We have already applied for stay in HC along with jurisdiction quash.

Do we nee to apply for stay in lower court separately?also what can be grounds for stay/Cancellation.

Also Sir please suggest if before 21st can they harm/arrest us in any way as opposite party is trying very aggressively to get NBW issued?

applied for stay does not mean, stay granted. therefore initiate action for stay/cancellation of NBW
V R SHROFF (Expert) 09 May 2012
you appear in lower court, and take your case on board, apply for cancellation of Warrant, which will be allowed., with a shall fine. So Warrant will be cancelled and u will not be arrested . You can do it tomorrow also, & warrant matter gets over.
