Leave without pay in govt job..

hello sir,
my name is ajay kumar. recently i got job in state bank of patiala.my probation period is of 6 months.its a clerical job..but i m doing MBA from GNDU amritsar.its the end of my 3rd semester nd my last semester is pending..i just want to ask you that is there any provision that after i join the bank..can i get "leave without pay" of 6 months during my probation period to complete my last semester..please help me

It depends upon the policy of each and every bank. It shall be better for you to make enquiries from your branch or RO.

To the best of my knowledge it is not available in probation period in banks as of now. Rest as told my Ld. Mr. Makkad, check your bank policy in this regard.

If the management agrees to grant you leave without pay during probation period, your probation would get extended equivalent to the period of leave you would take. Only on effective completion of your probation you would be confirmed in your job.
