Leave Encashment

Sir,

If there is a credit of 61 days leave, till I give a Notice to my employer for getting relieved,will I be able to encash the 61 days leave, which is lying in my credit.

Each and every employer is adopting different rules for leave encashments at the time of resignation/retirement etc.Please ensure it before taking decision.

yes. you can encash the leave available in your credit, as the government or quasi government or co-operative sectors permit their employees to encash their leave by surrender upto 240 days from their credit.

Encashment of 61 days leave depends upon the rules framed by your company. It is advisable to go through your company rules and take a decision accordingly.

Encashment of leave depends on the service rules of your establishment.

the general rule is if the leave is of the nature of earned leave, then it can be encashed.

other types of leave viz., casual leave, medical leave, etc are not able to be encashed.

regarding the limitations in no.of times, no. of days, etc one may have to refer eshtablishment rules.
