Khas land acquisition

I and my brother have two plots of land adjacent to each other.we both share common boundaries with a khas land.His boundary with the khas land is greater than mine.Can he raise any objections if i want to acquire half of the khas land?

Nobody can forecast. You both , yourself and your brother better get measure the land belongs to your allotted area or partitioned area and fix the boundry to avoid further dispute.

Can my brother file a lawsuit against me in this regard??

Both of you can continue with actual possession of the land,if your brother file suit against you dont loose possession it will take decades to dispossess you.
