Dear Sir,
I am to file appeal in State Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission. It takes 40 days delay to file appeal in filing appeal...! So suggest me an approprate judgment, please.

One of the best judgments on Limitation is

AIR 1987 SC 1353

however, you may find numerous latest judgments in this regard.

it will be better if you set out the proper reasons for delay, generally such applications are decided on merits nowadays.

you need to explain the delay of each and every day.
