If the government employee is died then the legal heirs can apply for compassionate grounds posting and claim for terminal benefits by producing the death certificate.

If there is a provision for appointment on compassionate grounds for the legal heirs of the employee died in harness, then the legal heirs can choose among themselves to apply for the post which they would become eligible.
