Dear Advocates,
Accusd charged suppression of fact of love affair with another woman prior to marriage.
No woman is identified in police investigation all prosecution witnesses are only stating the accused had admitted before them that he loves another woman.
Is this alleged admission of accused a hearsay or will the proof of this admission prove the charge of cheating.

:-) :-) I am sure it is not the only allegation in the complaint.
This part of it is not sustainable in any criminal/ civil proceedings. The man can always deny he ever admitted any such thing.

The FIR is to be read in totality and the entire contents of the criminal case are not before us so no definite opinion can be given.

It is a hearsay evidence as the witnesses have no first hand information. It gains weight only if the charge is otherwise proved.
