Dear sir. I have query regarding suicide. If we try to suicide can police arrest us and file an FIR. What is the punishment for attempt to suicide by consuming poison and can they arrest for that. Please guide us. Thanking u sir

Yes, still it is crime under section 309 IPC and you can be imprisoned up to 01 years. Please avoid posting this type of queries. This type of query is not replied generally at this forum, but i replied thinking that you might in some dilemma or trouble. Be Positive and live your life peacefully.

Dear sir why I am asking this query is one year back I tried to suicide by drinking poison due to personal problems. That time my self has joined in hospital and police constables came take mlc. They have not done other than that. Will it problem for me in future.

No sir. Only they came for mlc proceedings. It happened one year back.
