Ipc 420

(Querist) 09 August 2014 This query is : Resolved
My cousin had been accused in IPC 420 in the year 2012 and he is out on the bail, but in terminal two years case does not proceed to the court since police have not filled the charge sheet till date. When we fitted the case status on the web site of the respective court it shows 'case disposed in the nature of contested judgement' but now he has been named by the police for investigation. Now catch is if the case is thrown out then why the police are addressing for an investigation and are there any chances of rearrest in the event.
What next?

Do not send him to meet the police. Engage an advocate and ask him to take information.

Thank you everyone. But how to approach for Roznama? Whether it is a public document? Will they allow me for it easily or there is any process I have to follow?

Dear Experts,

Pertaining to above case, police has called him since they want to submit a charge sheet in the court. They are also asking him attendance diary for last two years. But he was attending police station for 7 months later respective IO said now it is not mandatory you to attend the police station. And now they are asking such diary?
What will be further process now?
