Hello Friends,

I've a query for your expert advice. My friend is, living in delhi, apprehended that a FIR of 498A may be or has been lodged in Panipat, Haryana(native place of wife). Can he has any remedy like Anticipatory Bail etc. from delhi.
What is its validity. or any other remedy. Your views please.

HE WILL HAVE TO TAKE ANTI-CIPATORY BAIL FROM PANIPAT.HOWEVER AN INTERIM ANTICIPATORY BAIL FOR 15 DAYS CAN BE GIVEN TO HIM BY DELHI'S COURT.

IT MAY KINDLY BE NOTED THAT IN CASE OF ANY CRIME COMITED AT ANY PLACE THE LOCAL COURTS HAVE JURISDICTION FOR THE MATTER.HENCE IT IS ADVISIBLE THAT IN GIVEN CIRCUMSTANCES THE PERSON SHOULD APPLY FOR ANTICIPATORY BAIL TO THE DIST AND SESSIONS COURT / HIGH COURT HAVING THE AREA JURISDICTION OF THE CASE.GOOD LUCK.

He can get a transit bail for a few days in Delhi but a AB will be granted within Haryana only.
