(Querist) 19 February 2021 This query is : Resolved
I changed my initial after marriage
On the time of apply for govt Jobs what initial I'm going to use because they mentioned as per 10th marksheet
Will do higher studies is there any problem
Regarding initial change
Quick Summary
If you've changed your surname after marriage, you can use the name on your 10th-grade marksheet for government job applications. For official name changes, particularly for passports, you'll need to undergo a gazetted publication process through your local Tahsildar. It's important to use your recorded name for applications.

How was the change effected? What has been the necessity for such a change?
kavksatyanarayana (Expert) 20 February 2021
You cannot change your initial after marriage, and you can use your name as mentioned in your study certificates for job purposes. For passport, you have to get Gazetted publication through the Tahsildar concerned for name change.

Apply in the recorded name.
