How to get documents of proprerty registered through powert of attorney

my father has purchased plot through gen. power of attorney in 1987.
we do not have any documents as in proof but just know the year when the property was how to get documents of property registered through power of attorney purchased.
Can plz anyone tell me is there any other way to get property documents.The person from who we had bought the property has passed away.

if your father had purchased property from power of attorney holder of seller agreement must have been prepared and registered . you can check registrar office for said year and obtain copies of said documents . if agreement was not registered contact lawyer who prepared the documents

But my father is not in condition of giving us any information as he himself forgotten details.we have no proof of property documents but yes i will visit registrar office and will try to pull up documents for the said year.

Contact to local lekhpal- find out the plot number- find out the name of owner- find out the date of transfer of plot or mutation order- then you can avail it easily from registrar's office.

If the plot is situated in municipal area, few details would be available from Municipal committee. The avenue advised by the expert arvind ji is practical and prove to be useful.

Dear Mr Arvind,
I would like to thank for all the replies.
I know the address,year and owner of the property but have no single proof of property document. As advised by Mr. Ajay Sethi i had visited registrar office in kashmiri gate they said they can not help in this case after this i visited SDM office in tis hazari, old civic building, there the patwari again said the same thing.
So is there any other way.

contact some registration clerk . he will take a search of registrations done in year 1987 in the name of your father

I think every body is escaping from his duty. Contact to local lawyer and prepare the relevant question with his help and ask the information under RTI.
