How to do partition of property and tax

My dad had 25*80 sqft after his demise and it has to be divided to 4person I.e children's. Which way will reduce BBMP property tax
1. Paying full size measurements as complete in father name itself
2. Dividing the property in to 4and paying tax sepearte kindly suggest

If the property is not transferred and it is in the name of your father then property bill will be generated in his name. So you can contribute and pay the taxes equally.

As it is your father's property, he can do as he wishes. It is not an ancestral property to do partition. Who are that 4 persons? Are they children? If children, is your father ready to gift it? Then each person can pay the tax to BBMP and gift tax also.

After demise of your father, the property shall get divided in 4 units and accordingly tax computation is required to be made and generally on small units, the tax assessment always remains very nominal.

If the property tax is reduced after division, you can proceed accordingly.

After demise of the owner of the property, it is better to proceed for partition of the same among legal heirs.
