if next legal heirs not in list then automatically become the owner.

Now the mother is claiming two separate shares against her daughters.

It shall be better for you to put entire facts here before you get concrete information like who was originally owner of the property, how did he obtain it viz. self acquired or ancestral, when did husband die etc.

Anyway, when her husband died, his widow also became entitled to inherit his property in equal share like all other legal heirs (son and daughters) and now when his sole son expired then she shall also inherit her share in equal share with his widow, sons/daughters (daughter in law and grand-children).

It is a vague question though mr. Makkad replied well and i do agree with him

explain the detailed facts of your case.

Yes.

On first partition, she would get share as a widow of the deceased.

On Second partition, she would get share as the mother of the deceased son.

Assuming that the son died later.
