License to sell fertilizer products

Dear Sirs,

We seek your expert advise on following issues.

We are the manufacturer as well as importer of the fertilizer products for Indian farmer community.

We import some products from overseas suppliers which are endorsed in our Letter of Authorization meant for Maharashtra State by the Commissioner of Agriculture, Pune, Maharashtra.

We transfer these all agriculture products e.i. imported as well as self manufactured products to the farmers thru our branches situated in the several states of India. At the same time we issue Principal Certificates to our Branches being Principal and source of supply.

Now while taking of Sales License at our branches situated in other states, the Agri Department is demanding import documents to issue licenses to the branches. We understood that once the products are endorsed in Letter of Authorization meant for Maharashtra and Maharashtra is source of supply to branches then it is not necessary to produce import documents to the branches.

We seek your expert advise on the same.
