Dear Sir,
Greetings!!!
We are actually planning to start a small hotel. Please advise how do i obtain Licence for running a hotel. and other legal formalities to be done.

Dear Sureshji,
Without knowing the projected size of business , it will be really difficult to advise on the legal formalities required for any venture.
However, considering it as a small restaurant,I would like to advise as follows:
Apply for licence under the Shops & Commercial Establishments Act at local Labour Deptt. , Food licence at O/o. The local Health officer , licence under local VAT Act , Permanent Account Number( PAN) from NSDL- TIN facilitation center under Income tax Act.
However, it will be better to get in touch with any local consultant to organise the matters for you. Also become a member of any trade association of hoteliers for better exposure of the requirements and related facilitation.
