Hi,
i m buying resident property in mumbai, owner of property donot hav chain of documents,if i buy that property that will be 4th trasaction,
In this case how can i purchase this property and which document should i demand from seller, so it will not craete any problem in future to sale and my rights on that property

contact a local lawyer . without complete chain of documents dont purchase the property as no bank will give loan in such a case

this means chain of documents have important to get loan from bank loan
There is no other importanat of chain of documents

If i do not want Bank loan to buy resident property in mumbai, then without chain of document property can be purchase

it is your choice but a prudent purchaser would not buy such property . you do not know whether equitable mortgage has been created by deposit of original documents . you may end up in messy legal tangle .

that is why i advised you to consult a local lawyer . when you are buying property worth crores why not spend some money on legal fees?
