My neighbour recently purchased a autovan for commercial use. Yesterday he handed over the vehicle to a person who does not have a driving license and unfortunately the vehicle met with an accident wherein a person got injured. The driver fled the spot and police has taken the vehicle into their custody. with is the legal consequence, will be owner he liable and if so what is the way out. please help

insurance company will wash its hands of any liability . since neither owner nor his driver was driving the vehicle owner will have to pay comepnsation .

in addition owner will have to fight the case filed by cops

contact a local lawyer .
