I had a credit acrd issued in 2007, since then in a span of 1 year I had used around 98000/- rs. I have been regularly paying minimum amount due. I have paid around 134000/- till date. I am willing to settle the card , but still the outstanding is 81000/- and the bank says it can setlle at 64000/- only. CAN I GET ANY GUIDANCE?

you can set- off at 64000/- only. or may start legal civil case for it that shows unreasonable interest paid by you ! what if you have sufficient evidence for it !

Make an application with full details (copies thereof) to Reserve Bank of India and make complaint against such banker who is misusing his position. Your bank can never charge double of the credit amount. Meet higher officials of the bank and negotiate with them first.

There no settled procedure for such card settlement. It is the discretion of the bank to decide the amount on which it could settle the arrears. So you could always make a representation to the bank for settlement quoting the amount to be paid and wait for the bank's response.
