right to dignity violated and deficiency in service

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 28 September 2010 This query is : Resolved
My husband is an army officer and for joining this organisation h had to surrender his fundamental rights. If he voices out injustice, he would be marked as a traitor and put behind bars. Now every place that we have to move to by order, wherein they don't care about the family that is dependent on this officer, we have to face various trasportation losses and in addition when we move to a new place houses in dilapidated conditions are provided and we are pressurised to accept these inferior standards of living.

When we ask for repairs to be done, we are out right denied from any kind of support by various excuses being put forward with regard to funds not being unavailable. This is a regular ongoing issue and it is clear cut obvious that the Military Engineering Services department which has to do the building repairs and maintenance is neck deep in curruption andare very smart enough to cover this up. They are hand in glove with the contractors and take a cut from each and every contract.

Inthis process we serving personnel families have to suffer miserable conditions of living. Incase we voice out our husbands careers are vindictively ruined or they are deliberately sent to extreme field areas.

Now my query is how am I to handle this situation and get justice. The 3 years that I live in a station, I would like to ensure that am living in a dignified house.

Only making representation to the higher authority could make any difference. Unless you could prove that those postings or transfers are made as a measure of punishment even the high court could not make any difference.

I am really surprised to learn what U have written. The Army Officers' Quarters, I have visited, were always spic & span.
U should report any maintenance problems to the concerned authority & also inform higher officials if it is not taken care of.
U need not worry too much about retribution as a Military Services Tribunal is already in the pipeline where U can air your grievance & where U can also hire services of professional lawyers.
