CANCELLATION OF POWER OF ATTORNEY

POWER OF ATTORNEY related to property matters was executed by an Individual of Indian Origin holding a Canadian passport in favour of his father in India.The property is located in India and abroad as well. The father is also holding a Canadian passport but has not yet renounced his Indian citizenship. The concerned Individual executed the Power of Attorney in India while on a visit to his father.The individual is in Canada and wants to Cancel the Power of Attorney given to father who continues to be in India> we would welcome and be thankful for appropriate advice

He can cancel the POA by a deed of cancellation which is needed to be notarised and counter signed and sealed by the Embassy in Canada.But you have to put an advertisement in Indian news paper in that respect.

If it is not a registered Power of Attorney, it can be revoked by simply issuing a notice of revocation. If it is registered, you need to follow the course of action suggested by Barman.

it makes n diffrene between a regidteres poa and thenrestr.it can be revoked. in agree with burman aqnd bharath.

YOU MAY CANCEL THE POWER OF ATTORNEY BY CANCELLATION DEED AND BY SENDING LEGAL NOTICE AND PUBLISH THE SAME IN NEWS PAPERS.
