Third party guarantee and mortgage by huf

(Querist) 17 July 2015 This query is : Resolved 
Dear Experts,

Can Karta of HUF mortgage the property of HUF and give guarantee for the loan taken by any third party.
I am of view that as such mortgage is not for benefit/ welfare of HUF but for benefit of third party ,same is illegal.
