are there any prescribed code of conduct for judges in India? Because one the jmfc judge had made jesting comments for one senior police officer on his law qualifications who also is law graduate.

Code of conduct of every public officer is prescribed but the given incident do come within that perview or not, is a matter of facts which you have not posted.
