Formation of association of flat owners

Dear Sir,

Is it mandatory to register the Flat Owner's association under Societies registration Act ?

What are procedures to be followed by an association of flat owner's while the registration in Tamilnadu?

In WB it is not compulsory.

It is compulsory in Mumbai. The procedure is same as is adopted in case of registration of the society. Take the help of any local lawyer for framing deed.
