How to remove people living illegally our alloted house

We recently got allotment of our flat on redevelopment property which used to be chawl which is now society, but the flat we got was not a empty property. due to lack of our knowledge we did'nt know how to take allotment and made mistake that we signed on the copy of the allotment letter given to us by the builder in his office instead of giving receipt in the flat. now how can we remove people living in the flat. please help us out. if we take the matter to the court how long will it take and how much will it cost. Already had few advice on this subject but added few more things i remembered later, thanks.
